An incurable clay-aholic since his teens, Graham’s roots lie in the trees and creeks of his family farm. Trained as an art teacher, he hitchhiked across New Zealand and Australia before graduating from UWA, ECU, and CUT (Hons). He exhibited in sixteen countries, was selected for seven biennials, and won prizes in Australia and overseas. Held in public collections across eight nations, his art features in publications from a dozen countries, including twenty-two books, dozens of journals and many academic theses.
“A product of my childhood and subsequent work in agriculturae, lobbying, art education, and visual art, my practice incorporates biomorphic forms and close observations of both nature and human nature. My analysis of human nature is informed by a sociological study of the art-world networks that utilise my work. My current projects articulate a critique of contemporary first world dilemmas.”
